It seems to be that tonight is Sweaty Joe's swan song for the Cubs, according to different rumors I've heard on Chicago sports radio. IF it does happen, it will be a sad moment for me. Sweaty Joe is one of my all-time favorite Cubbies, but I know he sucks now. But, he was the man back in 2002, and 2003 for us. Here's an ice cold Budweiser for ya Joe!

Hello to everyone checkin me out from Better Than Yours.

I think Sean Penn would make a terrible Joker. Say it with me over and over Chris Nolan, CRISPINGLOVERCRISPINGLOVERCRISPINGLOVER.

A most definately NSFW video of Eve? Looks like here to me...

The King Kong trailer looks simply binoculars. I'm super psyched up to see it. Kong looks awesome. Peter Jackson is a supergenius.

I'm buyin my Jazz jersey as soon as its available on Shop.

Just a thought, is that Ice-T narrating NBA Rookies? And while I'm talking NBA Rookies, why hasn't anyone pointed out how much JR Smith looks like Ja Rule?

Been back home since Friday, had a nice weekend, worked a little bit, and checked out the Pride Parade on Sunday with TLF. It was a good time, I saw a lot of crazy stuff, but I would definately go again. Other than that nothing goin on. Goin to see a double feature of War of the Worlds and Rize tommorow, so holla back kids.

Unintentional Comedy

Is it terrible that I'm not that excited about the "invite" for a Smashing Pumpkins reunion. I love the Pumpkins and all, but after Melon Collie, it just seemed to drown after that. Will I buy it thou, obvs is the answer to that.

Batman by far! Supes was always too much of a boy scout for me, plus Bats being the tortured soul, I always related more. That and the fact that he's the world's greatest detective. I will say this though, the first two Superman movies, hands down beat the shit out of the first four Batman movies. Even though, I am partial to the old Adam West movie. ZAP! BOOM! KOW! POW!!!

Getting Lil' Jon to spit cereal all over you and, playing battleship with Joey Crack, plus using a Pharaoh Monch song in your sneak preview, I'm watching.

Seriously, I want to cop me one of those shirts. But, The Game AKA the Hurricane. What are you thinking Mister Taylor?

Saw the Batman movie, thought it was great. And am most definately looking forward to the sequel(s?). Other than that still at my folks for another few days. I can't wait to get back to my place. Grrrrrrrrrr.

Do you want the good news or the bad news?

Well, personally I always want the good news first. So here we go. Scarlett LOVES car sex and wants to take her top off in the right movie. That makes Nick a very happy happy boy.

And the bad news, Kanyeezy's album has been pushed back to August. I am super jealous of the Fader folk and the fact that they got an early album preview. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! (But hearin that the People's Champ is going to be on the album certainly makes the blow a little less painful.)

Watched 30 Days earlier today and enjoyed it thoroughly. I really like Morgan Spurlock, he's like the younger, hipper, skinnier Michael Moore. With that being said, I think I could tire of Spurlock's propaganda eventually. I mean ****SPOILER**** Do you really think his girlfriend had a UTI or was that a setup for the episode to make his argument about minimum wage more supportive. If you have Tivoed it go back and look when they show her bill, it looks quite different from his bill, so just things that make you say hmmmmmmmmmmm. ****SPOILER END**** It was enjoyable and is definately added to the season pass list.

Also my good friends Chris and Nicole are in town and visiting from Kansas City. They are both Vegetarians (Nicole is actually a vegan) and took me to a wonderful little Vegetarian Diner. It was my first purely Vegan meal ever. We had Vegan nachos, BBQ Seitan Sandwich, and a Peanut Butter Cookie Bar. It was all quite delicious. Would I eat it everyday, I think not, I prefer a juicy ass disgusting burger, and I will never, ever give that up.

Not sure if I mentioned this or not, but I'm smoke free 9 days now. Just put that up there to guilt myself if I'm having cravings for a smoke. (Right?)

Goin home to the folks house for the week, since they are going on a trip to Las Vegas as if it were ran by Ned Flanders, yes I'm talking about Branson, MO. So a week at home with the dogs, lucky me. Fortunately TLF is going to stay over tommorow evening, and we're gonna go see Batman Begins, so expect my comments about that hotly anticipated movie.

Reports of my demise have been greatly Exaggerated

Just way too much stuff poppin' off lately to even think about posting to a blog.

A quick recap of the past two months or so:

-Went to Philly, caught a Phils game, ate a lot of cheesesteak, and had an all around good time. (You can see the pictures from the trip, here. The password is DJSandbox)
-Went to a few Cubs games, mostly victories. In the meanwhile, having a wicked back and forth on whether or not they are going to compete this year, or just lead me along like a sad little girl and then collapse on me in late September. The HORROR!
-Actually watched a few movies in the last couple weeks. Nothing really spectacular. Seed of Chucky, Coach Carter, Cursed. Ok, I guess I watched only 3 movies. Coach Carter was pretty good though.
-Been working a lot, obvs.
-Moved out of the suburbs and to the city, and LOVING IT. (by far the best part is grocery shopping. It's like when you're a little kid and you want the Oreos or all the shit that is really bad for you, and you Moms says no, Now there is no one to say no! HA! Fantastic!)
-DJing has kinda taken a back seat due to lack of time, not sure how much more I'm going to pursue it.
-Going to two Nascar races, (Brickyard and Chicagoland 400)
-Dissapointed by all of the season finales this year, EXCEPT Alias. JJ Abrams, you manage to dissapoint me so bad with LOST, yet you shock me with Alias. Brills.
-Picked up the Coldplay, Gorillaz, Fat Joe, Common and love all of them. The Coldplay might be top 5 all time. Bold statement, I know.
-Speakin of music, R. Kelly is just getting more and more insane. However, I am salivating at the thought of the sixteen minute Locked in the Closet Pts 1-5 DVD that is supposed to be attached to the CD. BOZZLE!
-One more musical thought, the new Kanye stuff I've heard (Diamonds and Brand New) Kinda dissapointing Kanyeezy.
-Still dating TLF.
-Hooked up the original Nintendo, and have been playing a few games here and there, most notably Mike Tyson's Punch Out!
-Broke my sidekick, but got a new one, within a few days!
-There is some other stuff going on, but I really can't talk about it yet. It's fairly exciting. I'll holler at you guys when I can talk about it. Other than that, thats your quick recap. I'm gonna try to see if I can do this more often. I know I say that every so often, but um yeah. Comment and give me motivation. Especially all you new readers. Yaknowwhatimean?

If You were...

Half as busy I pretend to be, you would have an excuse for not posting like me. Alas, I really have been busy lately, caught a Cubs game on Monday night, and have been packing like a madman for the move on Sunday. This whole moving thing, not really that excited for it yet. It hasn't even hit me. I mean my room is pretty much packed up, except for my TV, Xbox, Computer, and some clothes, so it's not like a sense of I'm not really moving. You know? I'm not sure that made any sense. Anyways, I'm sure once Saturday rolls around and I pick up my key from the rental office, I'll be a lot more excited.

And now for some links.

That Ron Weasley, he sure is dreamy.

Kelly Osbourne, has uhhhh amazing breasts. (Just as an aside, do you think that hipster guy in the middle thinks he's going to get laid by Kelly?) Back to Kelly's breasts real fast, when LAWKI I think Kelly's tats where one of the best parts of the show. Don't ask me why, she isn't that attractive, but she has humongous breasts. So yeah, I like Kelly Osbourne's breasts. Just thought I'd put that out there.

I want to go to Lollapalooza, but damn 100 Bucks. Should have paid attention when they put those tix on sale for 35. I've only paid over 100 bucks twice for concert tickets, the first time I didn't really pay for them, my Mom did. That was when me and my brother took my Dad too see Metallica for his Xmas present. And the other time was when I worshipped at the Altar of Bruce, two summers ago.

I read somewhere an article comparing Rob Thomas to Phil Collins. I'm not totally sure how I feel about that, but I really want to check out his album now. Any word on it yet? I have a soft spot in my heart for Matchbox Twenty. Found the Article, it was here.

I'm going to restrain myself for at least another week, before I start ripping people new assholes, but Andy over at Desipio sums it up perfectly for me.

"This is the kind of season that drives people completely insane. Honestly, if the Cubs intend to make every month as torturous as they have April…we’re not going to make it. I’m going to be wearing a coat that belts up the back by June at this rate. When you go back to last September and then add in this April, it’s a wonder the Cubs have any fans left at all. I don’t mean that I’m surprised Cubs fans haven’t given up the team. I mean I’m surprised we all haven’t taken big handfulls of sleeping pills and washed them down with whatever’s left of that bottle of vodka we all almost forgot we had stashed in the freezer."
Oh and one more thing, is there anywhere online where they have previews of the next weeks OC, Tivo always seems to cut off right before they show the previews. Bastards.
